I bought this saddle in south Texas in 1962 during a college trip with friends to Mexico. We had stopped at a roadside stand for some roast cabrito, and got into a conversation about horses with the old man running the stand, and he told me about his uncle's old saddle. It sounded really interesting, so we all walked back to an old barn.  I saw this old dust covered saddle hanging by a rope from the rafters -- and quickly made a deal. The old man was the nephew of the man to whom Pancho Villa had given the saddle. I had it restored at Stelzig's Saddlery in Houston and for almost 60 years have kept it with my other "collectibles" in my home. It previously had been placed for consignment at Cisco's Gallery, one of the country's best known retailers of Native American and western art, artifacts and antiques,where it was put on display for a very hefty price tag, but now I have now brought it back home, and am offering this one-of-a-kind museum quality saddle at a greatly reduced price in order to sell it quickly.  $4,200 includes shipping.      Buy it Now
